Gateboy update

We have updated Gateboy, our advanced rhythmic modulator AudioUnit plug-in for Mac OS X, which can create complex gate patterns, intricate rhythmic sequences, expressive riffs, beat slicing and much more. New version 1.2.2 features:

Improved smoothing algorithm for the sequencer pattern
Minor user interface enhancements
Now being built on Mac OS X Leopard

Tweakbooks for Japan

We are very proud to announce that both the Fantom Tweakbook and V-Synth Tweakbook have been translated into Japanese and are available exclusively from Roland Corporation Japan! If you speak Japanese, look for the books via Roland Japan and Roland Planet sites.

GX Organics and GX Drawbars announced

Two new sound expansion libraries for Roland's Fantom-G are under development. GX Organics, as the name implies, will bring organic multisampled instrument collection which will include synths, synth basses, electric pianos, pads and atmospheres, vocal and choir sounds, organic blown and woodwind sounds, and much more. GX Drawbars is aimed to be a faithful classic organ emulator with drawbars fully controllable via Fantom-G's sliders. Sound previews and pre-order now available!

Planet X and Planet V receive updates

We have just updated our Planet series sound libraries for Roland Fantom-S, Fantom-X, Juno-G and SonicCell synthesizers. Planet X and Planet V received 20 new patches each, bringing the total patches count to 100 and 160, respectively. The Planet Pack now boasts 530 patches, while the Planet Mega Pack includes over 700.

Fantom Tweakbook 5th edition released

The vastly-anticipated 5th edition of the Fantom Tweakbook, the sound design and music post-production guide for Roland Fantom-S, Fantom-X, Juno-G and SonicCell synthesizers, is now available. The new edition is the biggest update to the Tweakbook ever: there are now 62 illustrated articles explaining the capabilities of these amazing instruments even deeper. The look and layout has been totally reworked from scratch and, in addition to the helpful synthesizer and effects parameter map, there is a little dictionary which makes it even easier to navigate and understand the book. The 5th edition comes with over 220 example patches and templates, as well as a new collection of raw sample material and rhythm kits - so you can instantly start making your own sounds and music.
